My last post was about is about 2 year old. It is interesting that I am restarting blogging again with the reference of the same post (Sex and the Electricity).

Recently Idea mobile has come up with an ad campaign for its 3G services getting inspiration with Gulam Nabi Azad's statement. He has given this statement during a function on World Population Day about 2 years back.

Health and Family Welfare minister Ghulam Nabi Azad believes that the best way to curb India's population growth is to electrify villages, so that couples spend their time watching TV instead of indulging in activities that can increase the country's already excessive population.

"In olden days people had no other entertainment but sex, which is why they produced so many children. Today, TV is the biggest source of entertainment. Hence, it is important that there is electricity in every village so that people watch TV till late in the night. By the time the serials are over, they'll be too tired to have sex and will fall asleep. Then they won't get a chance to reproduce. When there is no electricity, there is nothing else to do but produce babies," he said, addressing a function on World Population Day on Saturday.

"Don't think I am saying this in a lighter vein. I am serious. When light will reach (villages), 80 per cent of population growth can be reduced through TV," he said, adding that the government is working to ensure greater rural electrification.

That sex is the cheapest form of entertainment in the villages of India is a truism among population experts. But the minister has probably forgotten that TV is at best, an unreliable contraceptive, given that some of the popular late-night shows are known to cause libidinal surges.

Tibetan Torch

"I'm very concerned with the international situation and what's happening in Tibet," Jacques Rogge said on Monday in Beijing.

Tibet is a plateau region in Central Asia and the home to the indigenous Tibetan people. With an average elevation of 4,900 metres (16,000 ft), it is the highest region on Earth and is commonly referred to as the "Roof of the World."

In fact we have almost forgotten the Tibet if 2008 Olympics were not scheduled in China. Now days we are talking about human right violations in Tibet. All the TV channels and news papers are full of news items on this issue. People like me are digging the internet to find more and more information of this Himalayan land. We will see the marching Tibetan people on the street in typical colorful dresses with posters, banners and photos of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in hand.

I am sure it is an opportunity for Tibetans to attract the world community towards the issue. But what will happens once the Olympic Torch moves out from the china…
We must think that news agencies will keep the focus on Tibet after the Olympics or we will keep digging the internet for FACTS.

I am assuring you that you may not get a single blog post on Tibet… With Olympic Torch, Tibetan Torch will disappear for long time...

Why I have created "We Must Think"?

Daily we watch News channels, read newspapers (really?), browse internet… Now days we have lot of sources to get update about what is going on around us… around the world.

Believe it or not we always have our own view on each and every news we get. Some time we share our views with others and, some time not. Some time we forgot the news with in a second and some we remember for life long.

I just want to share my views as well as my thoughts to people around the world. In fact I want WE MUST THINK on the issues which are around and affecting our life directly or indirectly.

So… “WE MUST THINK”.
